As the Internet gets more and more complex and video takes up so much band width it can be very helpful to use every tiny tip to speed the system up, make XP or Vista faster and easier to use. So here come our new  ‘tiny tips’ series  – todays is for XP

Close Multiple taskbar items

You know what happens – you open URL after URL and the Taskbar begins to look like a sheet of postage stamps. I can be irritating to have to close each one seperatly so here is a quick ‘Tiny Tip.

To close multiple folders and application on the Taskbar items in one go hold down the control key while double clicking on each one in turn, Now right click one of them and select Close Group.

Internet Marketing – Am I wasting my time and money?

Fortunes are spent on programs devised by internet marketing guru’s but are people wasting their time and money? Internet Marketing Virgin tries them out and tells you the truth, blog by blog.

Is it because of my age? No, I am 65 years old but just a few years ago I studied and passed for a major diploma in a professional field.

Is it because I don’t understand information technology?  No, though I am no techie and certainly not a nerd I have been using computers since 1998 and kept pretty well up to date. Then WHY isn’t this internet marketing bonanza happening for me?

I think it probably is because I am suffering from NBT syndrome (Stands for Next Big Thing) – the pace at which the internet marketing business moves and changes is bewildering. Every day something new and fascinating comes along and its off with the old and on with the new.

Well it is time to stop – put on the brakes – choose one path to follow and put all my available time and energy into one endeavour and see it through to completion.

Will I succeed? – How will I do?
